![]() ![]() ![]() Their system makes you a "usual suspect". I've even had people use blatant hate speech, using slurs for homosexuality for example (I'm not gay but I know the algorithm doesn't care about that because I've been banned myself for "hate speech" for calling a man a "stubborn twat").įacebook just aren't very consistent or competent at this and I've had very, very bad luck. But they literally never agree with my reports, they always side with the person who insulted first and used blatently more offensive language. If I get banned I then try to report their provoking comment, since there is no other way to tell Facebook the context my comment was made in and they seem to view each comment in a vacuum. I've tested this by intentionally choosing insults that are milder than the other person's. That said, I'm finding it almost impossible to navigate Facebook's mystifying rules in recent years, particularly regarding the very vague "bullying". Neither in real life, nor online, am I ever going to be the "turn-the-other-cheek" type, it's just not in my DNA. Full disclosure right off the bat when people insult me, I insult them back.
